So you've been hearing about this whole electronica thing in all the magazines, but you don't know where to start. How about with Roni Size & Reprazent, winners of the Brit's Mercury Prize? (Think of it as a Grammy with taste.) New Forms has been widely acclaimed as the best drum & bass album to hit the stores yet -- and yes, Virginia, that does mean a whole heckuva lot.

So you love all those old REM albums, but you have no idea what Michael Stipe was singing? (Don't worry, he doesn't know, either.) Take a chance on Jolene -- the only band cool enough to cover Vic Chesnutt, appear on a Big Star tribute record, and open up for Hootie & the Blowfish. Just think about what it takes to pull off that trifecta.
